A Thai Tailor Story
There are many tailor shops in Chiang Mai, Thailand, however our aim is to establish a service and brand that sets us apart from the crowd, we set out to achieve this a number of ways. For starters we use the highest quality 100% Thai Organic Cotton, Thai Silks, Egyptian, Wool, Cashmere, Linen, Chino, Corduroy, Jean and 100% mother of pearl buttons, all fair trade certified and all made in Thailand.
The meaning behind our name Thai Custom Tailors relates to our goal to support our local community. Our tailors have between 18- 32 years of experience in the industry, working previously for major international brand clothing companies. Due to extremely low pay and poor working conditions they have made the transition to Thai Custom Tailors, thus creating a team where by we support each other by the principles of fair trade.
Thai Custom Tailors is also very proud pledge our support to charitable efforts in the region by donating 10% of all sales profits to Metta Charity. who provide schooling, food and accommodation for hundreds or Burmese Migrant children.
